Exhaust Repair in Detroit
Loud, rattling, or smelly? Exhaust problems are easy to put off and expensive to ignore. We weld, patch, and replace at a fair price.
What we fix
Rotted mufflers, broken hangers, rusted pipes, cracked flex joints, failed catalytic converters, O2 sensor issues, and exhaust leaks at the manifold.
We can patch minor exhaust leaks with proper welds when the rest of the system is still solid. Replacing a whole exhaust because of one bad joint is not the answer.
Catalytic converters
If you have a P0420 code, a rotten-egg smell, or sudden power loss, your cat may be failing. We'll confirm with a live-data scan before recommending replacement. Cats are expensive and we do not replace them unless we've verified they're the problem.
Watch for these
Signs of exhaust trouble.

- Check engine light with a P0420 or O2 sensor code
- Exhaust smell inside the cabin
- Noticeable power loss or rough idle
- Visible rust or holes in exhaust pipes
- Ticking noise from the engine bay at startup
- Reduced fuel economy

Before you call.
Can you just weld it, or do I need a new pipe?+
If the surrounding metal is still solid, yes, we can weld. If the pipe is rotted through, new pipe is safer and lasts longer.
Is a loud exhaust dangerous?+
Yes, both because it can indicate a leak that pushes exhaust into the cabin and because it's illegal in Michigan to operate without an effective muffler.
Do you offer aftermarket or performance exhausts?+
We install customer-supplied or shop-ordered performance mufflers and cat-back systems. Talk to us.
Drive in and we'll put it on the lift for a look.
